Driving ESG Through Action: Partnering with Businesses to Reduce Food Waste and Build Inclusive Communities

Hong Kong disposes of over 3,000 tonnes of food waste every day, while nearly one million people face food insecurity. Since 2009, the Food Commons Foundation and its predecessor initiatives have been committed to transforming surplus edible food into community resources—reducing waste, supporting vulnerable groups, and fostering social inclusion.

We believe that businesses have the power to make food stewardship a cultural norm, embedding sustainability and care into everyday practice.
